SAVING OR EXTRACTING A MASK TO PSP X / PSP7 There are 2 ways you can do this, The first is to extract the Mask from a Zip or Rar file, The second is to save from an image or pic. We will deal with PSPX first Extracting from a Zip or Rar File Double click on the Zip / Rar file. it will then open in a new Window. Click on the Mask to highlight it. It will turn Blue. Click Extract Then locate the folder in PSP. C:\Program Files\Corel\ Paint Shop Pro X\Masks Click OK. The Mask will now be seen in PSP. SAVING TO PSPX Right click the Image, Click Save as: Make sure the image is saving as a Mask. Then locate the folder in PSP. C:\Program Files\Corel\ Paint Shop Pro X\Masks Click OK. The Mask can now be used PSP. TO USE THE MASK: Go to > Layers > Load/Save Mask > Load from Disc Locate your map in the drop down window Click Load. Then > Layers > Merge > Merge Down If you wish to keep your Masks outside of PSP. You have to let PSP know where they are, To do this: Open PSP X Go to > File > Preferences > File Locations > Masks A window will open and you can add the folder where the Mask are stored. The Masks can now be used in PSP. PSP7 You can either do as above and Locate the folders in your PSP7 Or You can save as a Pic and just open it in PSP. TO USE THE MASK IN PSP7 Open the Mask Pic in PSP Activate the layer you want the Mask on by clicking on it. Go to > Masks > New > From Image Locate the name of the mask in the little drop down window Click OK. Then go to > Mask > Delete A box will come up asking if you want to Merge the Mask with the Current Layer... click Yes .
